 Alan joined Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.’s San Francisco office in March 2008. His clients consist of nonprofit organizations, small businesses, individuals and families.
Alan’s mission is to help develop conservative and cost-effective investment strategies for his clients. To do so, he seeks to develop a thorough understanding of each client’s concerns, short-term objectives and long-term goals. Once he and the client identify his or her current and anticipated needs and risk tolerance, Alan recommends an investment strategy intended to achieve these objectives and reviews it periodically in order to fine tune it as needed.
Prior to joining Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., Alan worked at UBS Financial Services and its predecessor firms for over 20 years. From 1987 to 1996, Alan worked in a series of Operations positions. From 1996 – 2000, Alan served as an associate to two senior Financial Advisors, then, from 2000 to the present, he has worked as a Financial Advisor.
Alan has held the General Securities Representative License (Series 7) since 1996, the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63) since 1996 and the Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam (Series 65) since 2000. He is also licensed as an agent for Life and Health insurance in the state of California. He earned his B.A. from Marist College in 1987 and his M.B.A. from Golden Gate University in 2000.
Alan, who has lived in San Francisco since 1994, has served on the board of Pine Terrace HOA in San Francisco and is a past Treasurer of the Shanti Project, a San Francisco nonprofit. He currently serves as Board Treasurer of Maitri Compassionate Care in San Francisco.
